Qualifications and experience:
Before my writing career, I worked as a secondary biology teacher from 2008-2018, teaching KS3-5 largely in a grammar school. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate. I have a BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology and an MA in Education.
Due to the ongoing situation I will be offering Zoom book readings and Q&As (see below). Any in-person events can be cancelled with 24hrs notice. I will comply with all school policies and maintain social distancing from staff and children. I will not provide resources to the children at present, but will notify the school of any stationery they might need. Any resources I bring will be for demonstration only.
Current introductory offer:
Zoom - £20 for a 30 minute book reading and Q&A. For longer sessions please contact to discuss.
Full day £125 or half day £75 if booked before October half term 2020.
Thereafter prices increase to £250 and £150 respectively.

"Can fully recommend Emma Rosen Both as an author and a visitor to schools. She was kind enough to come to school for our careers week today and talked about her writing and her work on marine biology. She was amazing with the kids and really adaptable. If anybody in a local school wants an author visit I would massively recommend her." Teacher, Mundella Primary School, Folkestone.
"The children loved the session - the story, the background and the tactile shells." - Early Years teacher, Sandown School, Deal.
"Emma is very engaging and captures the children's imaginations." Teaching Assistant, Green Park CP School, Dover.
"Great to see 'real' authors edit" KS2 teacher, St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Deal.
